Prescription form
– Thu, Mar 23, 2017 at 09:46:49 PM
Hello everyone,
Please find the following information on how to fill out your prescription form.
If you select the prescription option in your survey, you will receive an email from us with the link to our online form.
How to read my glasses prescription?
Please click the following link for more information.
As we mentioned in the campaign, at this stage we can only provide Single Vision Lenses.
Single Vision Lenses is for general use lenses (which has a negative ( - ) or (+) number and 0 ADD).
IS YOUR RX (PRESCRIPTION) SINGLE VISION OR MULTI FOCAL?
Single and multi-focal eyeglass prescriptions will look different. If your vision correction is single vision, that means your lens power corrects for nearsighted or farsighted, but not both. The ADD column (which stands for additional magnifying in a multi-focal Rx) is blank in the sample Rx above. If you’ve got an eyeglass prescription for bifocal or multi-focal/progressives, your lens power corrects for near, far, and sometimes intermediate range vision. You’ll have a number in the ADD column.
What if I ordered 2 or more glasses?
Please fill out a separate form if you have 2 or more glasses. And please make sure you select the correct frame for that prescription.
If later you filled in something wrong in the form, please do not re-submit the form, as this will create confusion. Simply send us an email to [email protected] and we will help you from there.
Thank you
And have a good weekend!

– Tue, Mar 21, 2017 at 11:09:20 PM
Hello everyone!
Tomorrow we will send an email with a link to our BackerKit surveys. It is important that when you receive the survey, you get it back to us as quickly as you can. Our ability to make an order depends on receiving this information.
Please find the following guideline regarding how to fill in the survey:
In the BackerKit survey, please answer any questions we may have regarding your pledge, provide shipping information, and if you want you can even order more items or “add-ons”
Add-ons
Add-ons are items that you can select in addition to the pledge level you’ve pledged. For example, if you like to purchase more glasses or other items like case or sunglasses.
Frame Style
You could find more frame images, color option and measurement in our website. Or follow us on Instagram as we often post cool photos of our frames.
We apologize that virtual try-on won't be available soon. But we prepared few virtual images of models fitted with different frames. Just like an example below,
If you want to use your own photo, simply send us a one color photo passport size to [email protected] and we will fit in your photo with all 6 frame style.
Prescription
When you select the prescription option, AUD$40 will be deducted automatically from your balance. Then BackerKit will ask you to enter your credit card to make up the balance. The credit card you enters will only be charged the amount of the funds you owe in BackerKit. Once the payment is confirmed, we will send you an email with the link to the online prescription form.
We will post another update on how to fill in the prescription form.

Important Survey Information (Lens Option)
– Sun, Mar 12, 2017 at 06:50:51 PM
Hi Everyone.
Please find the following information regarding the lens option for the survey.
1. Magnification
In the survey, you will be asked if you want to add magnification to your lens. This magnification is designed to take the pressure off your eyes by slightly enlarging the object so that your ciliary muscles do not overwork. To achieve this, we will apply +0.25 D to your lenses.
So, if your work or activities solely involve staring at your computer and not interacting with your surrounding environment -- for example, coding and Excel -- you should consider this option. If not, then don’t. (No extra cost.)
At this stage, we can only provide single-vision lenses. For that reason, magnification is available only for non-prescription lenses. If you select magnification, we then need your PD (pupillary distance) measurement for optimal results.
What is PD?
PD is the distance between the centre of one pupil to the centre of the other pupil. We need your PD so that the distance between the optical centres of the glasses' lenses is the same as your PD. PD varies from person to person, but once you are an adult, your PD does not change. Therefore, as an adult, if you have had it measured, it will still be the same, even if your spectacle prescription has changed.
PD is normally measured during the eye test and written in your prescription. If it's missing, or you never had it measured before, you can always measure it yourself. Please find the following link to guide you on how to measure your PD.
There will be an option in the survey to indicate if you need a prescription. Please select this, and we will send you an online form to fill out. Please have your updated prescription ready, and for the same reason as magnification, you will also need to provide us your PD (pupillary distance) measurement.
On the next update, we will explain more about how to fill out the survey in backer kit and how the extra cost for prescription lenses will be charged.
